FARLEY, Iowa -- Thelma H. Schwendinger, 77, of 201[or 203, newspaper is blotted on the address] Fifth St. S. E., Farley, died Monday, December 10, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center, Dyersville.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Earlville. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m.

She was born on October 27, 1924, in LaMotte, daughter of Casper and Mary (Meyer) Konrardy.

She married Raymond Schwendinger on June 5, 1945, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Cascade. They farmed in rural Delhi area from 1950 until Raymond's death on January 7, 1980.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Farley. She loved to do needle craft, quilting, crocheting and knitting.

Surviving are two sons, Lloyd (Valerie) Schwendinger, of Calmar, and Leo (Penny) Schwendinger of Freeport, Ill., three granddaughters, Audrey, Darla and Rebecca Schwendinger; a grandson, Kyle Schwendinger; a brother, Cyril (Ione) Konrardy, of Dubuque and a sister, Valeria Hillebrand, of Dyersville.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond and Edmund Konrardy and two sisters, Delores Hillebrand and Anastasia Kennedy.
