PAULINE A. HOGAN

FARLEY, Iowa -- Services for Pauline A. Hogan, 75, of Fifth Street and Second Avenue, Farley, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Church, Placid, rural Epworth. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 2 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where the parish Altar and Rosary Society will say the rosary at 4:30 p.m. and the wake service will be said at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Hogan was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Cascade, daughter of Louis M. and Mathilda M. (Martensen) Sauser. She died March 15, 1989, at home.

She married Fredrick J. Hogan Nov. 27, 1935, in Farley; he died Jan. 7, 1960.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and its Rosary Society.

Surviving are eight daughters, Arlene, Linda and Mildred Kearney, all of Dubuque, Velma Friguson of Davenport, Mrs. Andrew (Maxine) Goedken of Dyersville, Mrs. Eldon (Nancy) Pfab of Anamosa, Mary "Bernadette" Schmitt of Rickardsville, and Mrs. James (Gloria) Harrold of Harvard, Ill.; nine sons, Richard of Manchester, David, Lloyd and Herbert, all of Dubuque, Theodore, Louis and Nickolas, all of Holy Cross, Stanley of Key West, and Fredrick "Samuel" of Farley, 64 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren; and a brother, Cletus Sauser, of Manchester.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael, in 1952.

A Pauline A. Hogan Memorial Fund has been established.
