CASCADE, Iowa -- Dorothy A. Kremer, 84, of 506 Sixth Ave. NW, Cascade, formerly of Dyersville, died at 3:27 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Worthington. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m. The Cascade Fire Department will meet at 7 p.m.

She was born on April 4, 1924, in Worthington, daughter of Paul and Anna (Marbach) Lehman. She received her education at St. Paul's School in the Worthington-area schools.

She married Norbert Kremer on Nov. 6, 1952, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Worthington; he preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1965.

The couple farmed in the Cascade area until Norbert's death. Dorothy then was employed at the Ertl Co., Mercy Medical Center and Country Junction, all in Dyersville, before moving back to Cascade, where she made pies for Kremer's Kountry Kafe.

She was a member of St. Matthias Parish, Cascade.

Surviving are four children, Richard Kremer, of Cascade, Jean (Greg) Anderson, of Cedar Rapids, Julie (James) Pflughaupt, of Coggan and Steve (Lori) Kremer, of St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gilbert Lehman, of Farley, and Joe (Kay) Lehman, of Cascade; a sister, Annabelle Marsh, of Anamosa; and three sisters-in-laws, Lorraine Lehman, of Worthington, Florence (Karl) Spoden, of Dyersville, and Christina Kremer, of Cascade; and many friends.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and nine siblings, Mildred Greiner, Marie Steffen, Rosella Roling, Jerry Lehman, Paul R. Lehman, Edward Lehman, Wilfred Lehman, Bernadette Lehman and Mary Ann Lehman.
