Sylvester M. Kluesner

Sylvester M. "Junior" Kluesner, 69, of Dubuque, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at his sister's residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, where services will be held at 1 p.m.

He was born on Jan. 8, 1944, in Holy Cross, Iowa, son of Sylvester N. and Marie (Engling) Kluesner. He attended St. Paul's School in Worthington, Iowa, and graduated high school in 1962.

Junior served in the Iowa National Guard and was owner of Kluesner Repair.

He is survived by his siblings; Brother Marvin Kluesner, SDS, of Silver Springs, Md., Rosie (Art) Naber, of New Vienna, Iowa, David (Marilyn) Kluesner, of Farley, Iowa, Dorothy (Eugene) Kramer, of Worthington, Iowa, Lois Tauke, of Cascade, Iowa, Joyce (Charlie) Urbain, of Davenport, Iowa, Arlene (Dale) Fangmann, of Farley, Iowa, Bonnie (George) Heisler, of Farley, Iowa, Eugene Kluesner, of Coral Gables, Fla., Leo (Julie) Kluesner, of Worthington, Iowa, Brenda (Dick) Ludwig, of Petersburg, Iowa; his friend, Ramiro Robles; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mark Kluesner; and a brother-in-law, Robert Tauke.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Dubuque for all their wonderful care.
