DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Helen Marie Trumm, 79, of Dyersville, died after a long illness, Friday, April 11, 1997, at Oak Crest Manor, Dyersville.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in St. Paul Cemetery, Worthington. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m.

She was born on Aug. 5, 1917, in Worthington, daughter of John and Lena (Besler) Gudenkauf.

She married Carl Trumm on Nov. 23, 1937, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Worthington. They farmed in the Worthington area. Mr. Trumm died in 1996.

She was a former member of St. Paul Altar and Rosary Society.

Surviving are three sons, Vernon (Linda), of Cedar Rapids, David (Sharon) and Danny (Catherine), both of Central City; three daughters, Dolores (Bill) Kelchen, of Strawberry Point, Carlyn (Don) Hoeger, of Delhi, and Patty Trumm, of Dubuque; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Leona Gudenkauf, of Dyersville.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Jaeger; and four brothers, Augie, Carl, Paul and John.
