HOPKINTON, Iowa - Francis Schilling, 69, of Hopkinton, died after a sudden illness Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, at Mercy Health Center St. Mary's Unit, Dyersville.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Hopkinton. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Worthington, where military rites will be accorded by the Cascade American Legion. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Goettsch Funeral Home, Hopkinton, where there will be a parish vigil service at 8 p.m.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou; five sons, Rick (Marly), of Durango, Dennis, of Missoula, Mont., Gary (Deb), of Hopkinton, and Al (Kay), and Wayne (Sue), both of Worthington; seven daughters, Jeanine (Dave) Loeffelholz, of Hopkinton, Linda (Joe) Dunkel, of Worthington, Michelle Schilling, of Monticello, Angie and Amy Schilling, and Kris (Scott) Supple, all of Hopkinton, and Cheryl (Rick) Clark, of Monticello; and 22 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou Jaeger, in 1976; and his parents.
