Death: Feb. 2, 2007

Robert Richard Goodrich, age 80, of Bay Lake, Minn., formerly of Austin, Minn., died on Feb. 2, 2007, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, Minn.

Robert was born on April 1, 1926, in Minneapolis, Minn., to John and Eleanore (Swanson) Goodrich.
Robert was a World War II Navy veteran, receiving citations from operations at Leyte, Lingayen Gulf, Philippine Islands, Okinawa Gunto and Ryukyus. He is a retired Weyerhaeuser employee at the Austin plant.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Goodrich, Bay Lake, Minn.; one daughter, Debbie (Joel) Runtsch, Austin, Minn.; two grandchildren: Scott Wilson, Byron, Minn.; and Emily Wilson, Austin, Minn.; two great grandchildren: Mariah Wilson, Rochester, Minn.; and Ethan Hemry, Austin, Minn.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Jessica Stoll.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby, Minn. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Military honors will be presented by the Myrin-James American Legion Post 443 of Ironton, Minn. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home, Crosby. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
