Leo A. Recker, 91, of Dyersville, died Wednesday evening, Aug. 11, 1993 at the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in St. Boniface Cemetery, New Vienna. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 8 p.m.

Mr. Recker and his wife farmed until their retirement in 1963.

He was born in Dyersville, son of Andrew and Bernadina (Niehaus) Recker. He married Henrietta Schilmoeller on Jan. 18, 1927 in Granville; she survives.

He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Dyersville Senior Citizens. He was a volunteer at Mercy Health Center St. Mary's Unit, Dyersville.

Also surviving are five daughters, Ethel Vorwald of Epworth, Gladys Wessels of Dyersvile, Doris Wright of Roselle, Ill., Norma Eike, of Manchester, and Joyce Davidshofer, of Dubuque; five sons, Cyril of New Vienna, Jim and Dennis, both of Dyersville, Roger of Ryan, and Larry of Tucson, Ariz.; and 38 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
