Elizabeth "Betty" Jogerst, 98, of 2000 Pasadena Drive, formerly of Ecumenical Towers, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Ennoble Manor Care Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m.

She was an excellent seamstress and was employed at Glover Mitten Co. for many years.

She was born on March 29, 1905, in Dubuque, daughter of Francis and Elizabeth (Becker) Jogerst.

She was a former member of St. Raphael's Cathedral Parish.

Surviving are two nephews, Dr. Gerald J. (Kathyl) Jogerst, of Coralville, Iowa, and James F. (Geralyn) Jogerst, of Dubuque; two nieces, Judith (Roger) Gratton, of Galena, Ill., and Ms. Rosemary Byrne, of Altadena, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Agnes Jogerst, of Dubuque; and great-nieces and nephews, Jessica, Michael and Jeff Gratton and Johnathan, Ashley, Lisa, Karen and Kristen Jogerst.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Francis and Irvin J. Jogerst; and a sister, Viola Jogerst.
