HARRINGTON-

Thomas Harrington died at the home of his brother, John Harrington, east of town, at noon Friday, May 21. He had been in poor health for the past two year, but declined rapidly since Christmas. He was born at Galena, I11., January 10, 1865, and was in his sixty-second year at the time of his death. He came with his parents to Hazel Green township in 1871 and has made his home there since that time. He was a frugal and industrious man, upright and honest in every way, a thorough Christian Catholic, who strictly upheld the teachings of his belief. He was widely known and highly respected throughout this community and the news of his death brought sadness to a host of warm friends. He is survived by three sisters and one brother: Mrs. T. J. King, Mrs. Frank McGuire, Mrs. James McGuire and John Harrington, all of this immediate vicinity. The funeral held Monday morning from St. Patrick's church was attended by a large concourse of friends who came to pay their last respects. A Mass of Requiem was celebrated by Rev. M. S. Murphy and the remains taken to their last resting place in Calvary cemetery. The pall bearers were Mike Crowley, Dan and James Sullivan, Wm. Byrne and John Devine.—Ryan Reporter
