Kenneth J. Cain Sr

Kenneth J. Cain Sr., 56 of 1377 Southern Ave passed away on Friday June 15th, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. Friends may gather from 4p.m to 7p.m., Tuesday June 19th at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd where services will be held at 7pm. Committal services will be at 10:00a.m. Wednesday, June 20th, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, with Rev. Gabriel Anderson officiating. Full military detail will be accorded by Dubuque Marine Corp League. Burial will follow in the cemetery.

He was born on October 16, 1955 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of John and Mary (Chapman) Cain. He was active in scouting, and served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He worked in construction for many years.

He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth (Tabitha) Cain Jr., and Kurt Cain, of Dubuque one daughter Sarah Gold, of Denver, CO., 5 grandchildren Madeline, Lorelai, Kaitlyn, Loren and Connor. His mother Mary Cain, of Dubuque and siblings; Catherine Cooper, Paul Cain, Michael "Mick" Cain, John Cain, Doug Cain, and Lori Cain all of Dubuque, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father John, a brother Dale, and a nephew Josh.
