PEOSTA, Iowa - Fawn Marie Weber, 34, of 12082 Graf Road, Peosta, died Monday, July 21, 2003, at home, surrounded by family, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends also may call after 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Fawn was a paging specialist for Carlisle Communications Ltd. for the past 12 years.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1968, in Dubuque, daughter of James J. (Karen) Weber and Jeanne M. Schroeder.

Fawn graduated from Hempstead High School, Dubuque, in 1987. She was attending Northeast Iowa Community College, Peosta, enrolled in the paralegal program with hopes of attending law school in the future.

She was a devoted mother to her 5-year-old son, Logan. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her friends and family.

Fawn was a woman who touched many lives during her time with us and will be truly missed by all.

Surviving are her parents; her son, Logan, of St. Paul, Minn.; a sister, Tina (fiance, Dave Murack) Weber, of LaGrange Park, Ill.; two stepsisters, Sherry (Chuck) Kaiser, of Dubuque, and Sandra (fiance, Don Clark) Sheppard, of Novi, Mich.; a stepbrother, Tom (Jessica Kress) Hill, of Dubuque; her paternal grandmother, Darlene Weber, of Dubuque; her maternal grandmother, Ethel Schroeder, of Dubuque; three paternal uncles, Kevin (Kathy) Weber, Jerry Weber and Joseph Weber; four maternal uncles, Thomas (Gail) Schroeder, Francis Schroeder, John (Judy) Schroeder and Joseph Schroeder; eight maternal aunts, Jennifer (Dan) Reich, Mary Lou (Cheo) Torres, Theresa (Scott) Crabill, Kitty (Dan) Kremer, Kathy (Jeff) Roberts, Dorothy (Pat Kutsch) Schroeder, Peggy (Clete) Rowan and Judy (Bob) Winter; three stepnieces, Kellie Kaiser, Amie Kaiser and Holly Hill; two stepnephews, Joe Kaiser and Ryan Hill; a stepgreat-niece, Jadyn Kaiser; many cousins; and her closest friends, Logan's dad, Donny March Jr., Ann Hos and all her friends and co-workers at Carlisle Communications, Ltd.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Burdette "Jack" Weber; her maternal grandfather, John Ley Schroeder; and a cousin, Angel Rowan.

A Fawn Marie Weber Memorial Fund has been established.
