Death of Miss Katharine Tobin Occurs at a Late Hour Yesterday Afternoon.

The death of Miss Katharine Tobin, aged 16 years, occurred Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Tobin, 1808 Washington street. The young woman had been ill for four weeks with an attack of scarlet fever. Constant attendance and the best of medical skill failed to alleviate her sufferings and the angel of death claimed her for his own. Just budding into womanhood the hopes and ambition of fond parents are blasted in her untimely taking off. Sincere sorrow is extended to the loved ones who are left to mourn her loss.

The deceased is survived by one sister and three brothers. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence to Linwood. Undertaker Egelhof will have charge of the arrangements.
