John N Heiter 732 Alta Vista Street a veteran, Dubuque railroad employee died 1:15am Saturday morning after an illness of six weeks.
The body is at the family residence from where the funeral will be held to the Church of the Nativity Monday morning at 9:00. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
Mr. Heiter was born at Key West 5Jan1863 and had lived in Dubuque all of his life. Eight years ago he retired after being employed for 42 years at the shops of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad. He was affiliated with the Brotherhood of the Railway Carmen of America.
Surviving with his wife the former Mary Cleary, three daughters Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Riley, Miss Mary and Miss Agnes Heiter all of Dubuque. Three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One son Roy proceded him in death seven years ago.
