Jeanette I. Reiter, 69, of ManorCare Health Services, formerly of Alverno Apartments and 1629 Rhomberg Ave., died at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, June 1, 2003, at ManorCare.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 4 p.m.

She was employed as a housekeeper at Dubuque Health Care for 16 years until her retirement.

She was born on Dec. 20, 1933, in Dubuque, daughter of Leo and Esther (Fransen) Reiter.

She attended Holy Trinity and Immaculate Conception Academy. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Jeanette loved playing bingo and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Surviving are four sisters, Anna Mae (Jim) Powers and Virginia Lyons, both of Dubuque, Marion (Homer) Jewell, of Cuba City, Wis., and Carol (Lacy) Godwin, of Galena, Ill.; two brothers, Merlin (Janann) Reiter and LaVern (Gayle) Reiter, both of Dubuque; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Orvetta Reiter, on May 25, 1985; a brother, LeRoy Reiter, in infancy; and a brother-in-law, LeRoy Lyons, on May 10, 2002.

The family requests no flowers. A Jeanette I. Reiter Memorial Fund has been established.
