Clarence L. Murphy, age 66, of Dubuque, Iowa died Monday October 21, 1985 at the Dubuque Health Care Center. Funeral services were held Thursday October 24 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Dubuque, Iowa. The Gene Siegert and Son Westview Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Clarence was born August 8, 1919 in Hammond, Indiana, the son of Harry and Lila (Olds) Murphy. A retired supervisor at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works, he was a member of the John Deere Retirees association and charter member of both the Julien Dubuque Yacht Club and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, the former Dorothy Zoll from Waukon, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Judy Sandige and a son, James Murphy, both of Dubuque, Iowa; and 3 grandchildren.
