Wilber Emery Robinson, died 1918

Wilber E. Robinson, so well known to the Masons of Iowa in the early history of the Grand Lodge, passed away at his home in Dubuque, July 23rd, at 11 P. M. He was in his 83rd year and had been in ill health for several months. He was raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason in 1860 in Dubuque Lodge No. 3, and has been actively identified with this lodge ever since. In the Grand Lodge he was Grand Pursuivant in 1863 and Junior Grand Warden in 1866. He was buried July 25th, with Masonic honors, Dubuque Lodge officiating at the grave.

Wilbur Emery Robinson, 82 years old, for sixty one years a resident of Dubuque and prominent in Iowa Masonic circles, died at his home there after a long illness. Mr. Robinson joined Dubuque Lodge, No. 3, A.F. and A.M. in March 1860. He was acting grand master of the Iowa order in 1864, served as grand pursuivant the year before and in 1866 was grand junior warden. He was well known all over the state, especially in eastern Iowa, having been engaged in business there for years.
