Berniece B. "Bee" Tschudi, 90, of Luther Manor, formerly of 1941 Jeffrey Drive, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Luther Manor.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 4:30 p.m.

She was born on Oct. 1, 1912, in Potosi, Wis., daughter of Alois and Theresa (Wallenhorst) David.

She married Arnold "Chub" Kueper on Feb. 24, 1936, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dubuque; he died on Aug. 18, 1953. She later married Charles J. Tschudi on Nov. 29, 1956; he died on Dec. 25, 1991.

Bee was formerly employed at the Walsh Stores for 27 years until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.

Bee enjoyed dancing with the Flora-Doras, a senior citizen group in Dubuque. She also enjoyed creating floral arrangements and playing cards. She was a wonderful, thoughtful mother and friend.

Surviving are six sons, Tom A. (Carole) Kueper, of Dubuque, Ted V. (Mary) Kueper, of Wales, Wis., Terry W. (Mary Lee) Kueper, of Rochester, Minn., Tim M. (Gail) Kueper, of Joliet, Ill., and Toby D. (Sheila) Kueper, of Winnamucca, Nev., and Dave C. (Gloria) Tschudi, of Marion, Iowa; 36 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma "Penny" Althaus, of Dubuque, a brother, Marvin (Dorothy) David, of Potosi; a son-in-law, Vincent Garcia, of Davenport, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Tillie David, of Dubuque, and Barbara David, of Hershey, Pa.; and special friends, Phyllis and Bill Jaeggi, of Dubuque.

She also was preceded in death by a stepdaughter: Gayle Garcia; a grandson, Mark Kueper; three brothers, Walt (Irma) David, Floyd David and Dan David; and a brother-in-law, Emil Althaus.

Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 1690 Elm St., Dubuque, Iowa 52001.
