DIED - At his residence on the Maquoketa, on the 21st inst., John Burton, who was long a worthy citizen of this county.

The friends of the deceased are requested to meet at his residence on Friday at 10 o'clock A.M. Those in the City desiring to attend the funeral will find conveyances at Messrs., Lyman and Stout's Livery stable.

The deceased has been in a feeble state of health for nearly two years, but his sufferings have now terminated.

Mr. Burton was one of the earliest settles in the country and by strict attention to business and the proper cultivation of habits of economy had amassed large fortune. He lived in po??(can't read) with all men and has gone to secure the reward of well done good and faithful servant.
