MARIE THERESA SHEA

Funeral services for Marie Theresa Shea 22, who died at a Chicago hospital Monday after
an illness of five weeks will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning [24 June 1930] at St.
Raphael's cathedral. Burial will be made at Mount Olivet. The remains are now at the
family home, 934 Dodge street. Miss Shea was born at Volga, Aug. 10, 1907. She received
her early education in the Volga grade school, later attending the Immaculate Conception
academy at Dubuque. She also was a graduate of the normal training school of Elkater.
Miss Shea was a highly popular girl and had numerous friends in all the localities where
she was known. Besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Shea, the girl is survived by three
sisters, Mrs. C.R. (Martha) White and Misses Margaret and Irene all of Detroit, and four
brothers, Harry Geneva, Ill., Francis, James and Joseph, Volga.
