The death of Alba Shireman, 43, of 150 Edith avenue, occurred at Mercy hospital at 8:30
o'clock Tuesday evening. He had been seriously ill for six months. He was born at Richland Center, Wis., and was married to Miss Hilda Sitterly in 1914. Besides his widow he is survived by six sons, Alvin R., Vernon J., Raymond F., Leland S., Norman J., and John S.; also one daughter, Virginia N.; his father, John D. Shireman, and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Katz and Mrs. Ralph Hedrick, all of New Orleans. Three brothers, David, of San Francisco and Bernard and Turon, of Dubuque, also survive. Two daughters and his mother preceded him in death.

The body is at the Didesch funeral home from where funeral services will be held to Holy
Ghost church at 9 o'clock Friday morning. Burial will be made in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
