Mrs. Robert (Marie J.) Kohl, 86, of Lutheran Home, Strawberry Point, Iowa, formerly of 801 Davis St., and 2795 Brunswick St., Dubuque, died at 1:50 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at Lutheran Home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, both in Dubuque. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., Dubuque, where there will be the parish wake service at 4:30 p.m.

Mrs. Kohl was employed with Stanley Home Products for 20 years, until her retirement.

She was born on June 30, 1915, in Sherrill, Iowa, daughter of John and Caroline (Motsch) Baal. She married Robert M. Kohl on June 30, 1937, at St. Mary's Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on April 4, 1997.

Marie was a member of St. Mary's Parish and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She was a very kind and loving person and a hard worker.

Surviving are two sisters, Eileen Grutz, of Hopkinton, Iowa, and Loretta (Herman) Heitzman, of Dickeyville, Wis.; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ralph (Marcella) Baal, of Dubuque.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, George and Ralph Baal.

Memorials may be given to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 1351 Iowa St., Dubuque, Iowa 52001.
