Services for Accident Victim Will be Monday

Funeral services for Benjamin A. Nicks, 61 years old, 5806 Caenen road, Shawnee (KS), who died yesterday at St. Margaret's hospital, will be held at 9 o'clock Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Shawnee. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock this Sunday night at the Hoge chapel on Overland Park.

Mr. Nicks was injured Friday when he was crushed between a moving fuel buggy and a platform at the Griffin Wheel company, 1134 South Twelfth street, where he was a foreman. He suffered a crushed pelvis and internal injuries. He had been employed by the firm thirty-eight years.

A native of Dubuque, Ia., Mr. Nicks had lived in the Greater Kansas City area thirty-one years. He had been a resident of the Shawnee area twenty-two years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's church.

He leaves his wife, Mrs.Elizabeth A. Nicks of the home; two sons, Benjamin A. Nicks, Jr., of 6120 Long street, and William H. Nicks, 6002 Monrovia street, both of Shawnee, a brother, Nicholas Nicks, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Nicks, both of Dubuque.
