Services Held For Glen Tindell
Glen Marion, son of Joseph and Lillian Tindell, was born March 25, 1892 at Holy Cross, Iowa and passed away at his daughter's home in Postville, on March 12, 1965 at the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 17 days.
He was united in marriage to Amy Zoe White on May 12, 1915 at Millville, Iowa. To this union three children were born: Mrs. Marvin (Cassilda) Flack and Clarence Tindell, both of Postville, and Mrs. Don (Lois) Knapp of Dubuque, Iowa.
He engaged in farming until coming to Postville around 1928 when he went into the shoe business.
He was a member of the Bethel Memorial E. U. B. Church, Postville, where he was active as an officer and as a Sunday School teacher. He was also a member of the Modern Woodman's Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harry; and his wife who passed away on May 25, 1958.
He leaves to mourn his passing besides his three children, three grandchildren, and nine brothers and sisters: Norman of Onalaska, Wisconsin; Mrs. Edith Block, Guttenberg; Mrs. Effie Thompkins, Charles City; Mrs. Jenny Roloff, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Lorena Sannes and Mrs. Hazel Rigel, El Monte, California; Mrs. Alice Lawson, Waukon; Howard Tindell, Greeley; and Mrs. Evelyn Phillips, Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Monday, 2:30 p.m. at the Bethel Memorial E. U. B. church with the Rev. Donald Jones in charge. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
