OTTO W. KRANING

Otto W. Kraning, 62, who lived in Dubuque for many years, died recently of a heart attack at his home in Portland, Ore., his sister, Mrs. Louis Kaiser, 2506 Queen Street, has been advised. Funeral services and burial were in Portland.

A native of Germany, where he was born July 25, 1882, he came to Dubuque when 5 and resided here until 1910 when he moved to Newell, S. D., and later to Boulder City, Nev., where he was employed in the building of Boulder dam. Since 1939, he had operated a gasoline filling station in Portland.

Survivors are his wife, the former Emma L. Wolff, Worthington, Ia., to whom he was married Nov. 9, 1904; three daughters; five granddaughters; and his sister, Mrs. Kaiser.
