Mr. William W. Christman, under observer, at Dubuque, Iowa, was retired at the termination of August 31, 1936. He was born on August 19, 1866, at Dubuque, Iowa. Mr. Christman entered the Weather Bureau service on July 1, 1898. Serving at the Dubuque station as map distributor, messenger, and under observer, respectively, during the entire period of his service in the Bureau.

Mr. William W. Christman, who was retired August 31, 1936, died at his home in Dubuque, Iowa, on May 23, 1939. A notice of his retirement and a brief outline of his service will be found in Topics and Personnel for August 1936.
