Alphonse Matthews was called to LaMotte last Friday to prosecute Dan Malone, accused of assaulting Anna Mirse, a girl 16 year old employed in the family. Justice Kearney, formerly a student in Hon. Wm. Graham’s office conducted the examination and held Malone to the grand jury in the sum of $1,000. - Herald
