Samuel Patterson, the breeder of fine blooded horses, sold a span of handsome matched blacks to Mr. Fred Queer, a leading stockman, of West Liberty, on Monday for $250 and also sold to the same gentlemen 43 head of cattle for $40 per head. Tuesday, Mr. Patterson sold another beautiful team of blacks to Dr. John Heffernen, of this city, for $250. It pays to raise fine stock and no evidence of this fact is more sufficient than these big sales.
