T. J. Johnson, who drives the Farley mail, killed a yellow rattlesnake last Wednesday that measured over five feet in length and had seven rattles making him ten years old. It was killed in the road near Henry Gosden’s place and had in its stomach a fill grown fox squirrel. His snakeship showed fight, but a well directed blow with a fence board finished him. This was the largest snake living or dead, seen in this secton for a good many years.
