New Engine-James Churchill, traveling engineer for the Hickley Locomotive Works, Boston, is engaged in setting up a new locomotive for the Iowa River Railroad Co., at the machine shop of the I.C.R.R. in this city. The name of the engine is “Horace Abbott,” and the dimensions are as follows: Cylinder 15x24 inches, five foot driving wheel, weight about thirty tons. She is a first class engine in every respect and one that will perform good service. She leaves for Eldora early Monday morning.
