DROWNED IN THE RIVER-We learned from a gentlemen, from McGregor yesterday, that a young man named Washington Ward, while crossing the river with a friend yesterday afternoon a mile below Specht's Ferry, fell through the ice, and was instantly carried under by the current and lost. He was about 22 years of age. The young men were on there way to this city in search of work.
