RETURNED-Mr. Richard Cox, who March last left for California, has recently returned to this City, having, as we understand, quite a comfortable share of" the dust." His advice to those who talk of going is this. If you have no family, and can get off without making a sacrifice, you have a chance of doing well by going; if, however, the contrary is the case, you had better stay where you are.

This is doubtless good advice, which it would be wise to follow, but we fear the five ounce lump of gold, which Mr. Cox exhibits, will have the effect to counteract it, with many, who have families, and who cannot get off without making sacrifices greater than prudence would dictate.
