TELEGRAPHIC BELL - This is an invention that is about to be applied in steamboats in communicating from the Pilot to the Engineer. Besides the usual ringing of the bell, the words Start, Stop, &c., appear before the Engineer at the same time at which the signal is given. - This would prevent many mistakes which would be otherwise unavoidable.
