The Tidal Wave will go on the ways and come out in the spring as nice as an election hat. All the Diamond Jo boats will be in their winter quarters in a few days. Mr. Simpson, clerk of the Tidal Wave, says he has gone into winter quarters too. When he was in St. Paul a few days ago an enthusiastic Democrat embraced him in his exuberance of joy over Tilden’s reported election. Mr. S. thinks his friend will go into mourning if he discovers he gave that embrace for nothing.
