RIVER NEWS
The expected arrival of the Mohawk created some stir among shippers, and the arrival of another boat, the Messenger, which offered to take freight at very low terms, induced the agent of the former to offer the same. It is expected she will secure 20,000 bushels of wheat and 30,000 bushels of oats at this point. Myer & Degendorf ship 700 brls. of flour on her, and some other lots will go besides. She carried oats from here to St. Louis at 5 cents per bushel, and wheat at 15 cents per 100. The flour goes to New Orleans at 60 cents per brl.
