Sale of the Jennie Brown

U. S. Deputy Marshal Shattuck, sold the Jennie Brown at auction yesterday morning from her own dock. There was but little competition in bidding and the steamer, and barge with her, went for the ridiculously small sum of $1,885. At the time the boat was libeled we gave the items of indebtedness against her amount to a total of $3,000, about half the amount being represented here. The balance to parties of other points.
