While W. G. Wood was sailing in his ice boat yesterday, a gust of wind caught her sails and shot her along like a meteor. She bounced over an air hole like a water fowl, and then got one of her runners into a crack in the ice. This was a foul on her, and it shook her up and shook Wood and his companion out onto the ice in lively style. When an ice boat balks, a stand still mule is nothing to her.
