SCHMIDT’S BREWERY
The largest and most extensive Brewery in Iowa, the oldest brewery in Dubuque, and Michael Blumenauer is sole manager of this fine establishment. He has the reputation of making the best beer of any brewery in the city, or State for that matter. He is one of the best of business men; his business of late years has increased beyond his expectations, until his spacious brewing house is pushed to its utmost capacity to supply the demand. The street cars will take you to his door, where you will find him perfectly quiet, social and the embodiment of refinement. You can there enjoy a cool glass of healthful lager, which cannot be excelled for its excellence, quality or purity. Blumenauer’s beer is made from barley and hops, so when you drink his beer you drink a healthy drink, which will invigorate the whole body. The beer hall and reception parlors will be found commodious, pleasant, cheerful rooms and accommodating waiters always in readiness to wait upon the fashionable patrons of this establishment. They will serve you Sweitzer cheese, Holland herring, and dark-amber colored frothy beer. Schmidt’s Brewery is on Couler Avenue. Visit this popular resort before you leave the city by all means – 5 cents
