Dubuque Daily Times, Sunday, October 22, 1876, Dubuque, Iowa, Page: 8

The Andrew Jackson Dorchester, a saucy little craft not much longer than her name, built here some years ago for a pleasure boat by Al Richmond, and now owned at Bellevue, passed up with a party of hunters. She tried to show off coming from Dunleith to this side, and the first thing she knew she slid on top of the sandbar and stuck as tight as a new boot. After considerable twisting, huffing and pulling she got off and went on her way rejoicing.
