HYEMINAL-The happy ceremony of uniting two loving hearts in one was performed by Bishop Hennessy at the Cathedral yesterday morning at 9 o’clock, in presence of a large congregation of the friends and admirers of the joyful pair. The parties to the contract were Mr. Joseph A. Brown, of Montana, and Miss Agnes A. Murray, daughter of the late Bartholomew Murray of Vernon Township, and one of the early settlors of Dubuque County. They were attended by Mr. Thomas Connolly and Miss Mary A. Murray, sister to the bride. At the conclusion of the ceremony, and after the bishop had pointed out to them the sacred character of the obligations they had undertaken, and the responsibilities they had assumed, which he knows so well how to do, the party retired to the residence of Mr. D. V. Wilson, where their many friends called to extend their congratulations, and inspect the large number of valuable presents received by the bride form her husband and friends. At 11 o’clock the bridal party, numbering about twenty persons took their departure for the residence of Mr. James O’Brien, in Vernon Township, brother-in-law of the bride, at which place the reception proper took place.
They returned to the city at 8 p.m., and proceeded by the evening train to ”do up” the principal points of interest on the Atlantic coast. At the conclusion of their eastern tour they will proceed to their mountain home, where Mr. Brown has a large interest in an extensive silver mine, and to which home Mrs. Brown bears with her the hearty good wishes for her continued happiness of a large number of friends in Dubuque and Vernon Township.
