RIVER NEWS-Yesterday arrived the staunch steamer Northwestern from St. Louis. It had a large freight, and discharged here 375 packages of tobacco, 25 barrels of oil and paint and other freight. She had a barge of iron in tow for up the river, and left a barge here to be loaded again for her return. She left for McGregor and will probably be back this evening.
