INSANE PERSONS-Last Thursday Sheriff Bucknam returned from Mt. Pleasant, bringing back with him Mary A. Hunter, Patrick Noon and Patrick Lyon, three insane persons formerly sent from this county. The woman exhibits some symptoms of insanity, but the men are hopelessly incurable. Nancy Lanken, the female who formerly perambulated our streets, in shaker and shawl, with a basket hung upon her arm, in which was generally to be seen a small bundle of dirty linen, is now an inmate of Mt. Pleasant, she having accompanied Sheriff Buchnam in his journey down. She will no more be seen upon her street, with her basket, or be tormented by thoughtless boys, but has gone to a quieter, and we trust for her, a happier place.
