Employed in the Sugar Refinery
On the Island
~
Glen D. Heald, of Farley, Iowa, son of A. K. Heald, is in Cuba in the interest of the San Francisco Sugar Company. Mr. Heald is the manager of the electrical department of that company which is erecting sugar refineries near Guyabel near Vera Cruz, Del Sur, Cuba. In a letter to his father he tells of the hot weather they had on Christmas Day and tells of the glorious winter weather as compared with the bleak Iowa weather at this time of the year. He is delighted with the country and predicts a great future for the island, after its people get settled. The electrical department of the company is just finishing the work of installing an electrical light plant.
