HE MIGHT HAVE FROZE
~
Man Named Maguire Found Lying
Asleep in White Street Last Night
~
A man named Maguire, was found last night about midnight, lying in White Street near Sixth, in an almost frozen condition. Officer Donlon, who found him, sent him to the calaboose where he was placed in a cell on the charge of intoxication. This morning in police court he was very saucy and abused the officer that found him for putting him under arrest. On the promise of better behavior Justice Carney let him depart. At 11 o’clock today the desk sergeant found Maguire on Thirteenth Street in a beastly state of drunkenness. He was arrested and will doubtless be handled without gloves when he appears for trial this morning.
