BIG STRIKE OF LEAD – On Wednesday of last week there was a big strike of lead a mile and a half south of Millville, and near the Dubuque County line, which makes a good deal of talk, not to say excitement, in that vicinity. It was struck by Wm. Woodworth, John Baxter and - Palmer, who have been mining for some time, but with any great amount of success until this fortunate strike. We do not know the value of the mineral exposed, but understand it is large. We hope it may all turn out as well as it looks at first sight.
