Most of the 12 surviving members of the Hyde-Clark Post of the Grand Army of the Republic were able to be present at the post meeting held in the G.A.R. room at the public library Saturday afternoon, when the post officers for 1930 were installed. A.E. Keen, one of the youngest of the union veterans still living in Dubuque, acted as installing officer. The officers of the post for 1930 are as follows:

Commander - William Blades
Senior Vice Commander - Anthony Brula
Junion Vice Commander - Job Barnes
Adjutant and Quartermaster - A.E. Keen
Officer of the Day - James Jackson
Sentinel - William Beyer
Chaplain and Patriotic Instructor - A.L. Clark

Other members of the Hyde-Clark Post who are still living are Frank Quade, for many years adjutant of the post and now living in California; William Dougherty, Washington, D.C.; Richard Rosemier and Ernst Wiedner, Dubuque, and George Hutton, East Dubuque.

There are five other veterans of the union forces in the Civil war who are now living in Dubuque. They are Jacob Does, only surviving member of the Cascade Post of the G.A.R.; George Pregler and Martin Baal, only surviving members of the Lookout Post of the G.A.R.; and Alis Peltier and John Gregory.
