DUBUQUE RIOTERS
The preliminary examination of the raftsmen engaged in the riot on the steamer Dubuque has closed and the following persons are held for trial in the September term of court on charges of murder: Wm. Blair, John Toomey, Halsey
Hammond, John Campbell, Wm. Doolan, Ted Butler, Nick Sheltz, Jas. Cronan, Lewis Simpson and O. Chandemas. Six negroes were killed in the affray.
