KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS that I HENRY NURRE of Clinton County, State of Iowa, in consideration of the sum of one dollar in hand paid by MATTHIAS LORAS, Bishop of Dubuque and his lawful successors in office in trust, of Dubuque County, State of Iowa, do hereby sell and convey unto said MATTHIAS LORAS, his heirs and assigns in trust the following described premises to wit:
The Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section Eleven, Township Eighty Three North, Range Four East of the Fifth Principal Meridian, containing forty acres more or less, according to government survey.
For the purpose of erecting thereon a Catholic Church, a school house, a cemetery and all necessary purposes connected therewith, but all the proceeds and benefits arised from this tract or parcel of land and its improvements are to be put and used for the benefit of the Catholic Congregation where this land is situated.
Dated September 3, 1855.
