Martin Denlinger casts 72 ballots

Our oldest and highly esteemed citizen Martin Denlinger, now in his 93rd year, cast his ballot for the 72nd time, a remarkable record. Mr. Denlinger stated that the first vote he cast and the last one were straight republican, showing a strong adherence to the principals of his party. The old gentleman is still able to take his cane and walk down town every day for his mail and well versed in the doings of the day, having all his faculties except his hearing is a little impaired. We sincerely hope that Grandpa Denlinger lives to cast his vote at many more elections.
