Cascade

Cascade saw its first Decoration Day Saturday, May 30. It was a grand success. About two thousand witnessed the marching and decorating. They formed in a line on Main Street and marched to the cemetery, where they decorated the fallen soldier's graves, and in honor of the dead heroes both here and those that fell in the South. One brass and two martial bands furnished the music.
